Coming to Tangnuam, Nghathal, Gangpimual or any other ground in town from places as far as Kholmun (Nehemiah) to play the beautiful game..!!

In 2012 (when we were in class XI) Class XII Boys (our Senpais) organised a one day school tournament. Fund was collected from the whole klass (Girls and Boys) for the entry fee. That very tournament lead to the naming of the klass football team, and the name decided on the middle row last bench of the klassroom was Mary Kom United Club Football Club (MAKUC FC)... in honour of Mary Kom who recently bagged a Bronze medal in 2012 London Olympics and was coming to visit Lamka town.
The lads played well in the tournament and reached the Final. In the final match against Xll Science, the scores remained level after a breath-taking clash till the last minute.
Now victory was to be decided by penalty shootout. Unfortunately, it just wasn't our day as we lost in the penalty shootout!!
The following year the team's name was changed to Klassmate FC (KFC).
In the next year school tournament, due to significant absentees of regular players we were knocked-out early in the tournament!!
Even though we were out of the tournament, that same day, we went to Pangzawl football ground to play a match against our Senpais (Alumnus) united with Sir TS. It was a very one sided victory for us, earning 200 bucks.. Not bad at all!!

KFC played their last match against Xll B Boys.... honestly, that wasn't a very good match. In the absence of a refree and goal line technology.. fists and kicks flew!! it ended as a memorable match..!!
